You may have just found your dream horse! This elegant, graceful, gritty, super smart and extremely talented mare is what dreams are made of! Grit n Grace (GG for short), has a sweet in your pocket personality that loves scratches and snuggles balanced with loving to go to work and giving it her all. GG has an incredible ability and willingness to learn new skills super quickly. When it comes to Versatility, this mare is the real deal! She has been hauled over 4,000 miles over the last 120 days to other farms and events such as Rodeos and Equine Expos. She has been ridden in and out of the arena, through creeks and up hills. Our mission when training horses and people is to 'Educate Horses and People with a Lifetime in Mind', and that is exactly how GG's education has been approached. From in-depth Round Pen and Ground Work in the beginning stages of her education, to riding in a hackamore, snaffle and graduating to a low port bridle- GG's education has been an extremely thorough and detailed process. Along the journey we have incorporated the maneuvers, skills and philosophies from both the disciplines of Reining and Classical Dressage to serve her education. She is soft in the bridle, can be ridden on a loose rein as well as on a contact for more collected maneuvers, neck reins, rides off your seat, understands verbal cues, can slide to a stop when asked and more. Her amazing athleticism would enable her to excel as a Ranch Horse (working or show), Ranch Reining, Western Dressage, Trail (recreational or show), Endurance and much more. She has had a very limited experience around cattle to put purpose to her work and we have utilized ranch trail obstacles & riding out of the arena as well to give a larger purpose to the maneuvers she has learned. Suitability- GG is an extremely safe and comfortable ride! What makes this mare so amazing when it comes to her willingness, try, athleticism, is her sensitivity. When riding and working with her she is very dialed in on each detail. She would benefit best from a human that has that same level of awareness. We anticipate as she continues to mature and gain further experiences she will continue to settle and become more suitable for less experienced riders. We have documented GG's entire journey over the last few months on our NJ EMM Behind the Scenes. All our supporters have been able to witness the transformations and really get to know GG along the journey. You can catch up on all the episodes here, get to know GG and witness what the process has been like! https://videos.coltonwoodshorsemanship.com/nj-emm-bts/ For those with more specific questions regarding GG, you can reach out to us directly at coltonwoodshorsemanship@gmail.com
