DESCRIPTION: Approximate Height in Hands – 14 hh

Elphaba, aka Elfie, is a naturally friendly and curious young mare who is ways the first to greet you at the gate. She is very vocal and will often whinny to you and respond when you talk to her. She nickers every time I dismount after a ride. Elfie is not your typical mare, though she has her fair share of sass, and she happily turns out with a mixed herd of two other mares and two geldings. She is currently riding walk, trot, and canter and performing maneuvers such as yielding hind/fore quarters, sidepassing, and backing from the ground. She is not spooky or easily startled and has been desensitized to kids and dogs which she loves. Elfie has a natural affinity for water and enjoys swimming as well as bath time. She leads, loads and hauls, ties, and stands for the vet/farrier. She has proven to be the same horse off the property as on and has been exposed to a show environment where she promptly fell asleep while accepting love from adoring spectators. She has the energy for eventing or fox hunting and the calm nature for the hunter ring. Elfie will make a great all-around mount and a wonderful children's pony with some more miles.
