Chance is all about attention. During the gentling process, he earned the nickname "creeper" because he'd peek around the paddock door and gradually inch closer while someone was cleaning his stall. He loves being scratched, being groomed, and falling asleep between training sessions. He's extremely curious and will try to play with items in the barn. Chance is easy to catch in his paddock or out in the open. He ties, bathes, and lunges very nicely. He stands quietly for the farrier, vet, and chiropractor. He has been a dream to handle on the ground, and even my vet called him an old soul. Chance does have mild skin allergies, but they've been easily managed with a sprinkle of coat product. Chance is incredibly sharp minded and willing to learn. He is a thinker and will try to figure what you're asking of him. He rides out at a walk, trot, and lope. He handles pressure from the rider very well. He is forward moving, but still hunts for the stop just off voice and seat. He backs and turns on the forehand with light pressure. We are currently working on pivots, sidepassing, and collection. We've hauled and ridden off site multiple times and even rode through downtown streets in Texas. I have really enjoyed training this horse and letting him go is going to be hard. But nothing would thrill me more than him finding his forever home.
