DESCRIPTION: Approximate Height in Hands – 14.2hh

Starstruck or “Star” had a bit of a slow start because she was anxious at first. Now that she has calmed down, she is learning by leaps and bounds. She stands quietly for grooming and to be tacked up, stands nicely at a mounting block, rides easily at a walk or a trot, and is gaining more confidence at a canter. She has been ridden in a round pen and in an unfenced outdoor arena. We have trailered out and worked on obstacle courses at two different locations, and she crosses everything easily in hand. She does prefer to ride in a sidepull and doesn't respond well to a bit. She will have at least one or two trail rides before we make it to the competition in Oklahoma. Star handles her feet and is well behaved for the farrier. She side passes nicely and is learning to pivot. She can be a little hard to catch in a large area, but she does respect fences and likes coming in for her grain. She can be a bit of an alpha horse in a herd situation but is not overly aggressive. Star's temperament would make her great for an intermediate or better rider. She is a bit narrow and requires a narrow saddle and would be best suited for a smaller rider.
