DESCRIPTION: Approximate Height in Hands – 13.2
Yellowstone Cowboy, better known as “Cowboy” here at the ranch is one versatile little dude! He has a great stride for a small horse and can really cover ground out in the pasture. He’s moved cattle, roped the sled, drug logs as well as barrels and a tarp, he has also had the bull whip cracked on him and he doesn’t mind a bit. He’s great on obstacles and is very soft with the bit. He does some liberty, started on the Spanish walk, lays down on cue, and has great stamina!
We also think he would make a good little English pony.
Cowboy does hump up a little when saddled but is just about over that. He also has a capped right hock. He has been examined by a vet and cleared as sound. The capped hock is purely cosmetic and does not affect him physically.
